About Us

Lima First Assembly of God is a vibrant faith community committed to serving and making a difference in the lives of individuals and families. We believe in the power of faith and the transformative impact it can have on both personal journeys and the wider society. Our mission is to live out the teachings of Jesus Christ, sharing His love and principles with all those we encounter.

Our Beliefs

At Lima First Assembly of God, we hold a set of foundational beliefs that shape our actions and guide our interactions with others. These beliefs reflect our commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive faith community.

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice. It contains divine guidance, wisdom, and truth that we seek to apply to our daily lives.

2. The Trinity

We believe in the triune nature of God, revealed as the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity plays a unique role in our salvation and spiritual growth.

3. Salvation through Grace

We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. By God's grace, we are forgiven of our sins and receive eternal life. Our salvation is not earned through good works but is a gift from God.

4. Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion as an essential step of obedience for believers. It symbolizes our identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

5. Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, empowering believers with spiritual gifts for the edification of the body of Christ. These gifts equip us to serve others and share the message of the Gospel.

6. Divine Healing

We believe in God's healing power, both physical and emotional. While we acknowledge medicine and medical professionals, we also believe in fervent prayer for healing and restoration.

7. Christian Living

We believe in living a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ. This includes practicing love, compassion, forgiveness, and service to others. We strive to be a positive influence in our community, seeking justice and standing up for the marginalized.

8. Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, where He will gather His followers and establish the fullness of His kingdom. We eagerly anticipate this event and seek to live in readiness for His return.
